Hi, I am able to stream avi files from my pc to my dm800 through vlc, but because I do this over wifi, sometimes the picture freezes. When I watch a h264 ts with the mediaplayer everything works perfect because less bandwidth is needed. So I'm wondering if it's possible to change the transcode settings in vlc from mpeg2 to h264. I already tried putting in VlcServer.py
#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=800,scale=1}
instead of default
"vcodec=%s,vb=%d,venc=ffmpeg,fps=%s"
but I get only audio without picture.

I'll appreciate any help.

There are two problem with that:
- you'll need quite a faster PC to keep up
- you'll need to configure all kinds of settings before libx264 runs properly.

If you're not that technical in video codecs, I'd really suggest you stay with mpeg2.
