Well, I might be doing something wrong..

Alot of No epg, maybe I am doing something wrong here...

should I delete the old epg.dat file before update?

epg.dat file on the hdd is 4.02 MB big

I have the new rytec channels, scorces files.

I need to ad that all the channels that don't have epg info, does have the header info ( event name) but no extra epg info.

OK, before we go look into our own system I would advise you to open a telnet session to your box, then type init 4 then it will stop and then type init 3, this will restart enigma and it will erase your epg too.

My next question is why you use the rytec sources and channels together with the ready to use epg.dat file?
if you use the xmltv plugin then you need only the rytec.sources.xml file no channelfiles needed.

then do a manual import of the Danish epg and check it again, if still lots of problems we will have to look further.

Well this is bacause I don't know better.

Done. things are the same, but no fuck-ups in the multiepg menu seen.

I do have MHW epg and viasat epg on, does that do anything bad to the rytec multi epg?

Turn off MHW, Viasat and EIT EPG in the settings menu.
And again to be sure use init 4, init 3 to erase the existing epg data.
then do a manual import. You are sure you have selected Denmark in the sources menu?

Quit viasat and mhw epg, restarted enigma, loaded Danish rytec, sorry to say that I have the same problems as before..

Even noticed that some off the discovery HD EPG was wrong.

I have checked our denmark channels file for mistakes. But after I discovered the things below I stopped checking.

But further I discovered that the channels for denmark is missing on our website. This may be the problem


Since webmaster is unavailable at the moment, I cannot correct this on the site. Instead I placed a copy on an alternative site. You can do the following to access these.


Download the attached rytec.sources.xml and copy to your box in etc/epgimport. Select the Danish source, and do an import and report pls.

So yes, then this mystery is solved. Several channels have only just this, because I have to download them from a webpage which does not have the descriptions. If you can supply me with a webpage, which contains the descriptions - on the same page - I will gladly change them over, if I can read them. PS: a link to follow to get at the descriptions will not do, as this takes an enormous amount of time to import.

I have checked the links (service ref and epg ID) and found no errors in the 10 I checked. So I concluded that the links are correct in general (an occasional error could still be there)

The channels which are in english are the channels from which I do not have danish epg. In these I have included the english epg. Moreover these channels are always in english.

If you could check your epg now in view of this and report pls. the others things again pls.

And pls. add the epgimport log.

I checked these channels and yes the TV1000 are in Norwegian.

I will change these to danish. However there are no danish website which give extra epg info on the same page as the timeschedule. So it will only be the header that is included.

I checked the websites you listed and really only ontv and ahot i can read. The rest is either javascript or adobe flash.

As far as I can see (my danish is very limited) this will be a service when you have an account. Since everything is in danish this would be difficult for me to sign up. Moreover when the download is to be performed by a webbrowser I have to figure out how to automate this.

As to the file itself.

The file can be used, although there are a couple of things in there which will create problems. But I have encountered these before and know how to handle them.

Conclusion: This could be a valuable source if the full file is to be found, and can be downloaded eacht day automatically.
