Strange... why should a fan plugin depend on a webinterface??

Because there's a webpage for the fan status !
http://IP_of_the_box/fancontrol/
Apparently the plugin.py of the fancontroller2 adds a child page to the 'normal/dmm' webinterface plugin.

Don't worry.
It will be implemented.
But these are additions.
First of all the main functions have to be completed streaming, web-tv and timers
later we will think to extras and additions.

Found a bug in the zap to function of webif. On my box openpli2.1@dm800hd pvr it only zaps to the chosen channel if its the first time you zap to that channel by webif.
Next time you try to zapto that channel it gets ignored although in the webif in text says: "Zap to: Nederland1 HD" the box stays at same channel.

Also the current program info stays at channel that was current when you started the webif.

Just discoverd above effects only occurs with internet explorer 9, with firefox everything works fine.
Also the earlier mentioned mute / unmute speaker not working is fixed by using firefox as browser instead of explorer 9.
It would be nice if the openwebif in a future version also works with IE9 correct.

Of course, fully understood, no problem at all.
I just wanted to know if this is on the to-do list.

I´m back a earlier,
so i have commit my work from the last days.

@theparasol,

i have committed a option in stream-menu "zap before stream" it´s nice for single tuner stb´s

@baciccoisat,

attached a StreamProxyHelper plugin.

It use the rendering engine of the old Webif and gives you only the function /web/status on localhost for streamproxy.
Let me know what you think over it.
It only works when no old WebIf is active and OpenWebif runs at a different Port then 80.
We can change the OpenWebif, that it only listen at local-ip:80,
then both Plugins can run at Port 80.

I had a look at /web/movielist and noted that the API does not include all available information compared to original WebIf-api.

For instance:

ORIGINAL WEBIF movielist-api:

i have rewritten the movie-list code.
Yet you get the same result then in the old Webif

For instance:

I think this is now the todo list to have the first release:

1) web-tv
2) timers: new page "add timer"
3) timers: enable link to add timer in epg popup windows
4) complete apis set

Most features of APIs are already implemented and compatible so Android-apps should work without any problems. Maybe some features still not might work but that is because some particular APIs are not ready but in view of the excellent work by the developers here, I have no doubt that at the end, any existing Android-app will be compatible.

Suggestion for a new OpenWebIf API:

I noted that there is a WOL (Wake On LAN)-plugin available so I believe this is possible. However, using OpenWebIf, the plugin should not be necessary.

I would love to see an API which sends a Magic Packet and can wake up a "sleeping" PC which is in the same LAN as the e*igma-receiver. For instance my Android-app permits 3g/remote streaming. This requires however VLC running on a separate computer acting as a transcoding-server. This works well but requires that computer is always on.

The idea is to use WOL to wake up PC from my Android-app so VLC-service starts and user can start streaming remotely. Unfortuantely most routers do not support WOL (unless using modified firmware). However, most people leave Dreambox on (or at least in standby) so as long as I can reach OpenWebIF and WOL-API, from my Android-app, I can then wake up sleeping computer (being in same LAN and hence no troubles with portforwarding/router-issues) easily start VLC-service (which is running a service on PC and starts when PC wakes up). If one aftwerwards wants to shut down PC, that is not a major problem since a small service can be written to run on PC and be executed from Android-app. The problem is WOL from "outside" but using an WOL-API running on the dreambox through OpenWebIf, this problem should be resolved.

Python-code for MagicPacket is ready available on the internet. For instance here:

http://shreyassirava...l-using-python/

What do you think?

I can't edit my previous post about a WOL-API, so I am writing new post.

The WOL-API would of course be useful for anyone who would like to access his PC at home (not only for Android-app) despite it being off. You can use OpenWebIf to wake up PC and then access it using for instance TeamViewer or Remote Desktop (if portforwarding is already up an running). Many times I have been in the office and I need to access my PC at home but since it was off, I couldn't access it. With WOL, problem resolved :)

for the web-tv,

the vlc-browser-plugin only exist in a 32bit version and no developer at the moment,
in the Dutch-Section are some discussions and solutions to use other plugins only for linux.
so we must find a solution that work on the most platforms (Win/Linux/OSX)
