News from today:

Ported the last changes from openpli-git from yesterday

Thanks to Pli to implement the streaming-server into enigma2.

streaming and recording works without any problems
you can test the streaming with VLC open Network

http://ip-of-openpliPC:8001/sRef
example of a sRef 1:0:1:7001:436:1:C00000:0:0:0:

Recording a channel and watching other channel on the same transponder also works.
Testet with SD- and HD-Channels

I have finally got to the bottom of the vtuner issue:
It needs the latest device drivers (2nd stage bootloader) for the dreambox - that explains the "operation not supported" errors. The DM800 was on SSBL 75 and that is too old. I updated with the latest OpenPli 2 using dreamup and this updated the bootloader to 84, which now works.

Great work again - this is a peach!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to know if this software works only with VTUNER software or a real DVB-S2 card as TT-S3200 would work too ?
(i am not a Ubuntu user......nor expert..).

when I try to do any type of scan on a known good transponder I get OURSTATE: failed, fatal

Type: DVB-S2
Name: Budget-CI (I've tried saa7146 TT-3200)
Has_Outputs: no
Frontend_Device: 0

I am not doing step 9 below from old scripts as I don't think the current kernel needs dvbsoftwareca/s2-liplianin


9.) Build saa7146 kernel module:(cougar-enigma içinde)
cd dvbsoftwareca
make # You must have installed dvb-core (for example from s2-liplianin).
insmod dvbsoftwareca.ko # It will create ca0 and ca1 devices for adapter0

Hi,

Check with lsmod which of these modules you have loaded and eventually load missing ones.

insmod saa7146.ko
insmod dvb-core.ko
insmod stb0899.ko
insmod stb6100.ko
insmod lnbp21.ko
insmod ttpci-eeprom.ko

You can check result using dmesg.

Thanks to nobody9 and attaros, lnbp21 & ttpci-eeprom were not loaded. The SD side works now. On to AMC 18 which is 8psk S2 H264.

it´s possible, you must install python-cheetah:
sudo apt-get install python-cheetah

it turns out the problem is that I upgraded from Ubuntu 10.4 -> 10.10 -> 11.04 -> 11.10 and somewhere in the process debhelper package did not get updated to a version > 7. Manually updating the package solved the problem.

I have a issue with the dvbsoftwareca, for some reason it doesen't decode channels. I see it connecting to the server:

Any clue what is wrong? The ECM doesen't seem to reach enigma for some reason. Diden't have any problems builing enigma and sd/hd FTA channels work fine.
