Hi,

 

Please find attached the full french .po and .mo files.

 

For people willing to test: 

- take a backup of the original (or rename it):  /usr/share/enigma2/po/fr/LC_MESSAGES/enigma2.mo

- Transfer the file fr.mo to /usr/share/enigma2/po/fr/LC_MESSAGES/

- delete the existing enigma2.mo

- rename fr.mo to enigma2.mo

- restart Openpli

Hi,

 

Some small fixes (mainly uppercase on new translation) to be consistent with the existing ones.

And Traduction info screen updated to reflect date: May 2014.

 

But on the original fr.po file I point out that some strings are missing, so I cannot translate them (I use PoEdit).

 

Here are some string that are missing:

 

Preferred tuner for recordings

Fan operation

Startup to Standby

Show picons in channel list

Customize channel list cursor behavior

Infobar frontend data source

Show softcam setup in extensions menu

Show latest commits on sourceforge

 

Can you please generate a new fr.po that includes all the missing strings to have a complete french translation?

Please find the translations of the missing string (that were not in the original fr.po file).

So with this all the enigma2 menus are now (normally) fully in french.

Revert and use next correct patch,
or simply use 0001-Fix-duplicate-message-in-Latvian-translation.patch

note for all translators -  before creating patche - always check your .po file with Open and Save .po-file in POEDIT. When is succesfully created .mo file, then you can create patch form your .po

@littlesat I see that my first wrong patch (post # 690) you Revert with comment "we should wait for a complete correctly patch".

But in next post (# 691) already been correct patch.

And what about 693... Can we have one complete patch?

693 removes duplicate-message after wrong patch from 691. Now you Revert the wrong patch, and therefore can be used patch from 691.

I created it (691) when found the error to change wrong patch, but can not edit post anymore.

 

But it may be better to create a new tested patch with the latest updates?
