I hope I am not alone with this problems
Using PLI on Vu+Uno I have this two issues :

a) Turksat 42 E, 11896 H DVB-S2/8PSK 11200 2/3 -> despite good quality signal, the picture has permanent blocks (errors - see picture - in the middle there is an error).Tuner Status shows as there would be a DVB-S signal what is wrong.

B) very low SR, for example Eurobird 2 (25,5E) 11039 V DVB-S/MPEG-2 SR 1534 FEC 3/4 or Express 53 E SR 1447 FEC 3/4 -> despite good quality signal, signal disappears and a few moments later the signal is back on (at 25,5 E max 93% quality)

All mentioned frequencies are 100% receivable, because DM800 had no problems with it what so ever.

My opinion is that there is something wrong with tuner drivers or vu+ has to fix this. Can somebody help me with this or check if the problem has all VU+ receivers ?

Thanks in advance !

The tuner in the Uno and Ultimo is only spec'ed to 2000 SR. Receiving transponders lower than this is very hit and miss in the way you describe unless the transponder is very strong.

And what about 11043-V, with a SR of 6.400. This is also a Dvb-S2 8PSK frequency...

Ok, i agree, but if my 4 old DM800 was receiving mentioned frequencies without any problems I would also aspect this from Vu+. For example Eurobird 2 (25,5E) 11039 V DVB-S/MPEG-2 SR 1534 FEC 3/4 has 99% signal and it doesn't help.
I still think it is the matter of FPGA, they have to fix there some things. One of those is also not showing DVB-S2/8PSK tuner status...

Well if you don't like it go to their website and send a bug report (like I did). The more people that complain the more chance it will be sorted.

Well, I've got a different receiver, et6000, and the same problem with low SR transponders.
The signal appears and disappears, it goes from 10db to 0db and of course there are freezes.
The problem occurs with SR of 2500 and below.
Problem is reported and hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

I did that already 1-2 months ago to support@vuplus.com, but no response at all...the problem is that VU+ HW is very very good but it is not used 100%. It is also true that I can live with that problem but it would be nice to fix that essential stuff.

very low SR, for example Eurobird 2 (25,5E) 11039 V DVB-S/MPEG-2 SR 1534 FEC 3/4 or Express 53 E SR 1447 FEC 3/4

Sometimes you can still receive such transponders if you "play" with the frequence 11039... to try them a few MHz below or above.... e.g. 11033-11045...) as the AFC sometimes does not catch right in combination the LF of your LNB might also be a bit off....

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

Thanks for the tip. I did try that but the results was the same again with interruptions. I did have some problems with AFC for example on 21,6 E between 11527 V SR 2857 3/4 Afaq TV and 11532 V SR 2857 3/4 Alrai TV, because I had to lower Afaq TV one MHz down and Alrai TV one MHz up to have proper receptions of both Tv stations. But I still think that this is FPGA issue and it can be fix.

ET boxes amd VU+ Ultimo successfuly receive Majan channel at 21.6E, 10978V, 1447, 3/4
Also successfully receive LBC package, 21.6E, 11560H, DVB-S2 QPSK 5000, 3/4

Will try above mentioned frequencies and let you know.

Thanks Malakudi...finally somebody with motorised dish who can confirm or disconfirm my "problems" :) .
LBC is not a problem for Vu + Uno, no problem at all.
But Majan channel at 21.6E, 10978V, 1447, 3/4 it is !!! Signal goes up and down from 0% to 50%, the picture of the programm shows only for the second and thats it.

How come that VU+ Ultimo has no problem with it ? Are there different tuners inside or is it a matter of drivers ?

As I said above those low SR channels need a lot more signal to work properly. Normally a 3/4 fec channel only requires 32% SNR but that needs more. It plays fine on my 1.5m dish with SNR at 64%. If it keeps cutting out for you it's because you haven't got enough dish to receive it.

Uno and Ultimo have the same tuners and most likely very similar code controlling them.

I know that my et6000 doesn't receive low SR rate channels properly.
I also got the confirmation that there are no such problems on et9200.
@Huevos
This is not the signal quality/dish alignment problem because when I connect my dreambox 500plus or strong 6155 to the same dish, channels work properly.

Ok, you have a point.
But how can you explain Eurobird 2 (25,5E) freq.11039 V DVB-S/MPEG-2 SR 1534 FEC 3/4, where I have 99% SNR and nonstop interruption?
And you receive Majan channel at 21.6E, 10978V, 1447, 3/4 without any interruption on Vu + Uno ?

As I was an owner of dm800 (old model not SE) i can only make a conclusion that Dm tuner was less sensitive on the level of the signal if we talk of very low SR.
