Hi all

I wonder if you guys could help me ?

I've installed todays OpenPLi 3.0 beta build for DM500HD and I'm having trouble downmixing dts audio when i playback my MKV files.

I've had PLi images before in the past and I'm sure that all I've needed to do before was ensure that dts downmix was switch to "on" under the audio menu. When I try to play them back now I don't any sound just a picture.

I have found this thread and I'm unsure if this is part of my problem ?

Could anyone please help?

Thank you.

I don't think the dm500hd has dts downmix support.
In 2.1 we've temporarily used the xtrend dvbmediasink (with dts downmix support) on the 500hd, but since dmm has added a few conflicting audio codec id's, we've switched back to the original dmm dvbmediasink in 3.0.
So no more dts downmix.

Damn, will this problem be overcome in the not too distant future ?

I was thinking how stable this 3.0 alpha image is on my 8k, the DVB-T2 USB works great, only issues here are this DTS downmix and inet streaming freezes within seconds of it starting.

Are there drivers for DVB-T2 for 2.1 ?

thanks

no, as dmm has recently introduced a few conflicting codec id's, we cannot use the same dvbmediasink as for the xtrend stb's anymore (without losing these codecs).
So the obvious solution was to revert back to the original dmm dvbmediasink.

And that sink does not support dts downmix.
In fact we should have done the same for 2.1 (and we'll probably do so in the near future)

And is al this DMM sinkstuff closed source so we are not able to change/use/adapt it?

What are those codecs ?

I don't see what more I could play now but I can see lots of my files I can't play anymore now (which is a shame).
