It's same software and same broadcam chip the new Vu+ II boxes will use so with support for them you will have most part of support for those new Vu+ boxes.

The same chip doesn't make the it directly a quality box and good driver support..

Ofcourse you need to add other things for support but it's a part of the support if you have support for same chip atleast.
I just checked seems it's only Vu+ Solo 2 that have same chip.
And this is the best thing you can get today. The only bad thing right now is the support from imageteams.
Other thing is lack of support for DVD/Bluray but except it seems to be a very good box.

I am also interested in this case, the device all of the reviews are very promising. Would love to make the team OpenPli supported him. :)

There is a few youtube videos and you can see how fast the box is there thanks to the much faster cpu.

I can understand why you don't support boxes with other software like Azbox but not why you don't want to support this one with same software except for drivers and stuff like that.

I see this device as a replacement for my ET9000 (it's 2 years old), so I'd like to read the real reason for dropping support for their team OpenPli (except commercial) and learn from the team OpenPli.
I would not make a mistake ...

Hi,

It seems clear that Gigablue makes under licence..or clones...the "old" VU+ SOLO and DUO..some teams make under their own name Open PLI images meant for those Gigablues STB...I suspect they change the image name only...
It looks like new VU+ STB SOLO2 & DUO2 and are somewhat delayed...
Meanwhile, there are thus 2 sources for the Solo and Duo under different brand name and different price proposed at the same time...is not it???

Do you support also Gigablue? If not, it does not really make sense to take the L4L from the OE-A-Git. Their changes are not really important. Boxbranding was installed by OE-A to allow box-specific default settings. For the Duo2 could take the config from VTI. Normally L4L has no default settings.

I have commited a temporary fix (revert to older version). At some time in the near future I will make the adjustments so the OE-A OE git repo won't be used as source for the plugin anymore. For end-users this might be less interesting ;)
