Everything looks just fine. If you type the following commands (copy.paste them to prevent typing errors), the box should be able to boot from CF:

rm /boot/bin/init
ln /boot/bin/initcf /boot/bin/init

Note that if something is wrong with the CF, you can always go back to internal flash by simlpy removing the CF card.

Ah, so there's the problem. Somehow your /boot is readonly.

Run the following command, if that succeeds you should retry the previous two:

mount -o remount,rw /boot

Milo, the / boot directory / bin there are 3 files: init, initcf and initflash, which should serve to start the cf or flash, so I think.
Maybe that is the plugin cf-boot is not set up correctly? because it is to turn that off cf cf from the same error "ln: / boot / bin / init file exits".
What do you think? If I said nonsense, please do not laugh, I do not know what to do.

There must be a space between rw and /boot
mount -o remount,rw /boot

Betacentauri, thanks for the help. The command is successful. I am attaching the mount, you can confirm that you are booting from cf.

Yep, that's CF.

You should have noticed it by boot time alone, flash boot is usually >90 seconds, with CF it boots in about a minute.

Milo, you've noticed and wanted to confirm, I also saw that all load is sh HDC1 (cf). One last thing: the day that I want to update the firmware I can do it on-line or have to spend the flash and repeat all installations?
Waiting for a reply I, once again, thank you for your availability by.

I have problems copying into CF.

I run OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm7025-20131201 on my 7025.

I flashed the CF ok but when I run Copy internal flash to CF card nothing happen.

It just hangs for very long time with a transparent screen showing at the bottom left a yellow button with << and on the bottom right a blue button with >>.

I have tried pressing both yellow and blue, tried pressing the green but nothing happen.

if i press ok it comes out and goes to the boot from CF card menu.

i then try to Activate CF boot from the same menu but get the spinning wheels and have to hard reboot from the switch on the back.

I have now tried installing flashexpander but same story

can somebody help me please?

many thanks

giac

I have tried with a telnt session from DCC

it seems it starts copying to CF some of the folders and then it gets stuck in a loop as shown below

cp: can't stat '/usr/lib/opkg/info/r0.postinst”G°þlibgstapp-0.10-0.control´Gò
: No such file or directory
cp: can't stat '/usr/lib/opkg/info/controlH': No such file or directory
cp: can't stat '/usr/lib/opkg/info/-0.10-0.postinstTHªÿlibgstinterfaces-0.10-0
controltHÿlibgstinterfaces-0.10-0.list”H¦': No such file or directory
cp: can't stat '/usr/lib/opkg/info/-0.10-0.postinst´H!': No such file or direct
ry

any idea?

is this why I can't copy flash to CF?

thanks

giac
