Hi there,

is there an alternative to the volume keys to change the Teletext mode? The volume keys were controlled by the TV and I don't want to reset my RC each time.

Thanks

Thanks for your answer. But I'm using the Pauli plugin to change the keymap to Neutrino.

One question, please. When using MQB and change "the volume keys to some empty keys" will the TV occupy these new defined keys automatically, too?

Regards

No because you press another key but MQB sends then a command for volume up/down to E2.

Hello,

didn't get it until now.

The version of MQB on the feed is 2.4. I would like to replace the cross-left and cross-right button. How can I make it work?

@Pli team: Can you add this patch?

I'm really a newbie in bitbake things. Do I also have to increment PR in tuxtxt-enigma2.bb?

cimarast has offered the patch some time ago. I have modified it a little bit, so that the KEY_TEXT starts and stops videotext.

Hi betacentauri,

thanks for the patch. I'll try to modify my keymap with your patch this evening. *thumb up"

@Pli team: I would appreciate it, too, if you will integrate a solution to have a second assignment for the volume keys. Thanks :)

Hi Bastelbox,

this is a patch for the source code. You cannot apply it to the keymap file.

Attached is the patched library (it's compiled for a et9x00, I don't know whether it works on other boxes).

To install it do this:

1. Put the file on the box.

2. Do a gunzip libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0.gz

3. Make a backup of the original lib. E.g. cp /usr/lib/libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0.orig

4. Copy new libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 to /usr/lib/  E.g. cp /tmp/libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/

5. Restart enigma2

If it don't work rename .orig file again.

Hi, it's me again.

I made a online software update and the two alternative volume-keys didn't work no more. I thought that the modified libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 were overwritten by the original file. But it wasn't, the modified file were still in the the folder /usr/lib. Just the alternative volume keys didn't work.

So I reactivated the original libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0. and now it was curios. The box freezed, when I restarted Enigma2. So I switched the box off and made a new start from boot. The box freezed again (at the picture with the bees).
Then I reactivated the modified libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 and the box started again. But the alternative volume keys still didn't work.

Why does the original libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 freezes the box and the modified works normal (but not with the alternative keys)?

So, I copied a "fresh" modified libtuxtxt32bpp.so.0.0.0 from my computer with ssh/scp to the VU+ Solo. Now everythind works fine again.

Please, can somebody explain those curios phenomenons?

Thanks and regards

Hi bastelbox,

I have no idea.
Hopefully someone from Pli team can apply this easy, harmless patch so that we don't need a self build library which can always make problems while updating.

Unfortunately we can only wait.

@Pli team: I think you guys have no time at the moment, right? Or is there a problem with the patch?

Hi betacentauri,

I've done the update, but I can't see that anything is different than before. What are the alternative volume keys now?

Thanks and regards

The only difference is now that you use the official version. So you don't need to put my file on the box when you flash a new image. And an update shouldn't make any problems anymore.

Hi there,

today I switched from openPli 3 to openPli 4. Everything seems to work, except the funtion to use alternative keys to change the teletext view mode. Does anybody knows, if this patch from above is also integrated in openPli 4?

Thanks and regards

Volume up and down, whilst in teletext, works as you would expect; turn up or down the volume.
