Do you use the new Dreamboxedit 5.3.0.0? I have no problems with this version.

Yep. Dreamboxedit 5.3.0.0.

Hi,

Installing the new OpenPLI 4 everything went fine. However using the Dreamboxedit, that software seem to have a problem. Do you know the solution to this?

It says Neither a "services" nor a "lamedb" file was found in directory "%" on the Dreambox. /etc/enigma2/
Check the dream path settings on the option panel to point to the correct Dreambox directories and try again.
Disconnecting.

However looking through FTP these setting seem to be correct. Anyone a solution? Maybe it is a setting in OpenPLI 4?

thanks

I have exactly the same problem using latest version 5.3.0

Here also today with my DM8000. It worked yesterday and it works with DCC-E2.

The only change was the Busybox update this morning on the box

Dreamboxedit 5.2.0 has the same problem..

Looks like dreamboxedit doesn't like the tiny built-in busybox FTP server then. A well. Was worth a try.

Version:        oscam-1.20-unstable_svn-r0

IPv6 support:                  no

Bah.

IPv6 (and only DS-lite for IPv4) on UPC/Unitymedia/KabelBW lines
IPv6 (and only DS-lite for IPv4) on Kabel Deutschland lines
IPv6 (and only DS-lite for IPv4) on M-Net lines
IPv6 (and Carrier-Grade-NAT/DS-lite for IPv4) on Glasfaser Deutschland lines

It's already too late to be right in time with IPv6 support ... now the only chance left is to be not more delayed than necessary ...

Hi,

You need to define a password for root user, so telnet to the box and type:

passwd

Then try to connect via FTP.

@SpareRat,

OScam support ip v6, it is an option at compilation time, this only means that it has been build without the ip v6 option set.

Create your own compilation with simplebuild and you will be able to choose the options that you really need.

Create your own compilation with simplebuild and you will be able to choose the options that you really need.

I know this already and for that reason I already use my own build.

I'm just of the opinion that the version on the feed should support it out-of-the-box to avoid hassle for the less experienced user.

However, one question arises: As OpenPli 4.0 uses a newer version of SSL and oscam uses SSL, the toolchains available for simplebuild will probably not be able to compile a working dynamic build of oscam for OpenPli 4, correct?

Was done and no success in FTP.

The solution was in the german part of the forum: create the directories vsftpd and chroot in /usr/sahre

This is not correct. You can compile a working version but without ssl. Or you have to crosscompile the openssl package and use them as an include for the compilation of oscam.

Ok, so in other words, it is correct.

The question was not if I can just leave out SSL (Unencrypted access to my oscam, yeah, sure) or if a new toolchain can be made, but if the ones available can build it.

The solution was in the german part of the forum: create the directories vsftpd and chroot in /usr/sahre

If this is the same what some other people are getting, the old configuration file of a preious version of vsftpd is still there. This file contains settings that aren't correct for the new version.

The correct solution is to just re-flash the box, or run:

mv -f /etc/vsftpd.conf-opkg /etc/vsftpd.conf

(please please please send exact error messages, then I can help. Just saying "it doesn't work" leaves me no clue as to what the cause may be).

@MiLo

But maybe you can add

local_root=/

to the vsftpd.conf?

Most problems can be solved simply by a closer look.

openpli4 does not know mount ext3 standardly? After flash is missing build-in HDD. Tried mount it manualy to /media/hdd ... =>  mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext3'

(dm800se)

=> i must at first install kernel-module-ext3 and then run /etc/init.d/autoinstall.sh again
