Sorry for you.

I myself do not have the problems you mention.

My box responds the same as without MQB

And yes, you have tinker with the button settings, it does not work as you want to until you make it so.

But that is the point of MQB, you do it yourself

You are sure that you settings for MQB are optimal?

No harm done anyway, just go back to your former image.

I will continue to use MQB

Well, after removing MQB the box still responds slowly.

I will have to reflash because I did not do any backup. Just didn't think it would be necessary.

By the way, can anyone with ET9x00 or other similar box issue top command via telnet?

Here /usr/bin/enigma2 shows  46% VSZ  and 17% CPU.

This 17% seems a little too much, no?

Well, it seems that it is actually not MQB that I should attribute the slower response to.

It was a certain script running in the background. Sorry about that.

As I did mention, MQB runs fine over here.

The best testing you can give a plugin is to use a clean install.

Then try it on your favorite install with all the plugins you really, i mean really need.

If you do not like a plugin, just do not uninstall.

You never know what damage that plugin has done in your image

Use the backup of your favorite (good working) image

This all with many thanks to Pedro Newby for one of the most important plugins, Full Backup!

Hi,

the box responds to key presses on the remote more slowly. This is for sure!

Is it slow even in the Movie Player where we can't use Multi Quick Button? Because my Et9000 is strangely slow since a few days. I was thinking it have a problem.

What do you want to say, I don't understand :

Besides, the plugin has already switched the arrow functions around the OK button without me doing anything.

Normally, with OpenPLi you zap channels using LEFT and RIGHT. UP and DOWN keys open Channel List.

After installing MQB 2.8.4, this behaviour changed around.

I haven't noticed that yesterday after the update. I can still change channel with the left and right key, and I can access the EPG with up key. Strange. I'm going to see the version of MQB.

And what it does now for you?

I've just verified, I have MQB 2.4 and I've done an update yesterday. Do we speak about the same product?

No, I'm not talking about version 2.4 from the feed.

I'm talking about this special version for ET boxes: http://openpli.org/f...ndpost&p=401985

I am inclined to ask whether why you would want to do that. Because more often than not installing external plugins gives problems, major problems (like crashing enigma).

Put the ipk on the root of an usb stick and plugin the usb stick in your box and follow the instructions....

But first make a backup.....

I'm using MQB v2.8.4 on my ET10000 with OpenPLi for about 2 months now.

Indeed it's very slow when assigning new keys but it does not affect normal operation.

I also tried etMQB v3.0 with an OpenXTA image and it's MUCH better.

http://www.xtrend-al...n-30-etmqb-v30/

All the special keys for all Xtrend remotes are supported, so I could use the F1, F2, F3... keys on my ET10000 remote control.

I downloaded the ipk from the OpenXTA feed and tried to install on OpenPLi but it's complaining about some "branding" module missing. I'm afraid it's protected somehow to prevent installation on other images.

Is there a way to port it to OpenPLi?

The branding module is an invention from the oe-a. It is used to check I suppose in this case to determine which box has which features and/or keys. Is is not the pli way to check for features available in enigma2.

In addition in fact you should check on used remote instread od type of box I suppose...

This brand invention makes this plugin from openxta not compatible for openpli...

I understand mqb is a very popular plugin... So still hopefully someone might made a good one for openpli....

If MQB was on a public, non-image-bound repository, we could have OE build the ipk ourselves and it would work.

I see most of the people here are using MQB 2.8.4. I'm using the 2.8.8 version for et10000 and no issues so far with openpli 4.0.
