Hello,
After today's update on my DM8000, the WebIf does not work.
I use OpenPli4, and get only error messages.
The Dreambox is in the Host file (XP SP3), so I only call http://dreambox
Attached is the copy of the text displayed in the browser.
Same happens in Firefox, IE8 or Opera.

DM5620, DM500S, DM600, DM7000, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, DM8000, ET9200, ET6500, ET7500, ET8500, VU+DUO, VU+ULTIMO, GB800SE, GB800HD all with OpenPLi
Only the DM5620 went off in 2012 ! DM500S, DM600, DM7000 & DM7020 have been sold in 2014.

And what about base.pyo that is in the same folder? We don't touch it?

Copy the content of the zip file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/controllers/ and restart enigma.
The pyo file is the compiled py file. Restarting enigma will compile base.py to base.pyo

@westip: Could it be that you in the wrong folder?
You use the folder "Webln" but the base.py is in "OpenWebif"
in my case i did the following:
1) ssh to box as root
2) vi /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/controllers/base.py
3) search the following lines and replace Old to new:
OLD (line 206):
#Translation
tstrings = []
tstrings.append({ 'movies': _("Movies")})
ret['tstrings'] = tstrings
return ret
New (Line 206):
#Translation
tstrings = { 'movies': _("Movies")}
ret['tstrings'] = tstrings
return ret
4)Reboot the box
5) try and enjoy

Hi, can you advice me please, what I have to doing, I have last update OpenPLI 4.0 on DM800se, but link Movie on Webif is not function. Only still loading. It is same about one month, but bug is not change. Older version openPLI is OK. But I need new kernel, I have 3TB HDD. Thanks.
