Perhaps you need to make a folder before etc/ just like in the examples, so on your C drive you make a folder named settings, in that folder a folder etc and finally a folder enigma2, so creating the path c:\settings\etc\enigma2

Like in picture 2 you choose the folder settings as start point

It works. thank you for your advice.

I have made a folder "settinggs" and in that folder I have placed /etc/enigma2.

As mentioned I would like to create an IPK from a settings list which is usable by unexperienced people.

Thanks to the IPK creator I am able to make an IPK settingslist. After installing this IPK the settingslist in Enigma2, this is operation very well :-)

However after Installing this IPK the settingslist is not removable via Menu – Plugin – Remove plugins (red button).
*) I can of course remove this via FTP. However is FTP handling by unexperienced people very difficult and that is the reason that I would like to prevent this way of removing the settingslist.

How can I manage that this removable in an easy way?
Is this possible to add something in the IPK?

Name your package (in the control file in the folder CONTROL) in a matter as all settingslists e.g. enigma2-plugin-settings-gerard

If you follow this standard then your settings appear in the plugin list.

Thanks for this wonderful tool, you are a genius, this tool opened a new frontiers for me and all users, even unexperienced people could use the resulted files without any need for ftp
-Suggestions for future versions:
1-add copy and paste names from windows to empty boxes in app
2-add templates for naming of packages as enigma2-plugin-extensions-() etc
-Tried with all pathes but the channels lists do not work despite using the correct pathes etc/tuxbox for satellites xml and etc/enigma2 for lambdeb files do not know why???

hi mates....

I have been reading post here...bcos i want to learn how to create ipk for files

but my question is

the folder structure, does it always have to be C:\whatevername\usr\lib\enigma2\python\plugin\extension\whatevername

or it depends on whatever ipk you want to make like plugin or skin

because i know the folder structure for skin is \usr\share\enigma2

then whatever you want to make ipk from...if the files are in a folder, how do you load them to the IPK creator software

thanks..waiting for your fast reply

Version 4.0

You Need To Install JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Not Open JDK !

Download It From http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre/ (Windows)

You Need To Install 1.7.x Versions

After Installing JRE Just Run windows-run.bat

Still In Development !

==================================================

it's based on the sources of Ipk Packager and jpkg-webos but with so many changes

windows-run.bat is for Windows but as you know you can run a jar file in any operating system (Mac OS , linux , ...) because it's Java

i did compile it with Java 7 so you need JRE 1.7.x

enjoy creating ipk files
Version 4.0

"any", "arm" and "armv7a-vfp" architectures added

"priority", "section", "conflicts", "replaces", "source", "homepage", "license", "oe" fields added

unneeded settings removed

faster than before and more compatible with enigma2 packages

full size by default, layout fixes/updates

fix "-" in version, now you can have -r1 for example

clean and rebuild using JDK 7u45

good luck ;)

thank u
