I'm not sure now.

Could it be that lamedb is not copied automatically with all the settings using DreamboxEdit?

Is the tuner properly configured to receive those channels? Greyed out can mean no tuner is configured for that slot.

Now everything sems to be all right. It was lamedb to blame. It must have been due to one of these 2 reasons:

a) Lamedb file was not correctly sent to the box by DreamboxEdit,

B) When copying channels from Vhannibal's list to mine I copied them from his user bouquets to my user bouquets. Maybe I should have copied them from "all" to "all" first?

a.)

Each favorite inside a bouquet must also exist inside lamedb with identical and correct settings.
Mismatch of stations between those two or a station missing in lamedb but existing inside a bouquet or borked lamedbs may have various effects, depending on the intelligence of the tuner:
- Box forgets EPG as soon as you switch away from such a mismatching station (Tuner manages to tune to channel although information from lamedb and bouquet mismatch or are plain wrong, but it can not associate the received EPG to any station it knows from lamedb, thus forgets it).
- Box can not associate your favorite from bouquet to any channel in lamedb (= all known chans) and thus can not tune to it.
- Box can associate your favorite from bouquet to a channel in lamedb (= all known chans), but can not tune to it due to lamedb being wrong.

99% of all satellites.xml are wrong, thus 99% of all lamedbs are also wrong. You won't notice this directly, unless you come across a really stupid tuner, e.g. like that inside the Topfield TF 7700 HDPVR.

My Ultimo tunes in every shit inside those borked presets, e.g. even HD stations marked as SD ones ... so it seems to be capable of handling a lot of improper input or to put it in other words = If the polarization and frequency are correct, it will figure the rest.

The Topfield on the other hand can not even tune to Hustler TV or Dorcel TV from common downloadable presets, because they were generated using broken satellites.xml without proper rolloff and pilot settings for that transponder = "Tuning not possible" = box can not figure out anything itself.

This line (Inside the Astra 19.2°E section) ...
		<transponder frequency="12721000" symbol_rate="22000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="3" inversion="2" modulation="2" system="1" pilot="0" rolloff="2"/>
is perfect.
If the line for that frequency differs, it's wrong and the Topfield can not find any channels there or tune to channels on that frequency using a lamedb based on the wrong satellites.xml

So if you can find any downloadable satellites.xml where it already looks like that, please let me know.

PS:
Your point b.:

You can move or copy stations across bouquets as you wish.
So you can for example download Henk's settings and put the stations in a useful order, it won't fail.

The only requirement is that a channel inside a bouquet also needs a matching counterpart in lamedb.

Assumed that everybody would use the same and correct satellites.xml, you could even mix lamedb from the one preset package and the bouquets from another, e.g. preset package 1 has more pleasant bouqets for satellite A but doesn't cover your satellite B while package 2 has silly bouquets but covers both of your satellites A+B, you could use the lamedb from package 2 and the bouquets for sat A from package 1 ...

As I said: Assuming everybody who offers preset packages would use proper satellites.xml during scanning ...

a) Lamedb file was not correctly sent to the box by DreamboxEdit,

One other thing. Always do init 4... init 3... trick when sending from DBE otherwise not all changes are saved.

Or use Dreamset: in the config it can be set to stop E2 before uploading the settings and to start E2 when done.
