Ok, I understand now. You have to register in that board.

I can post items here. But it is a problem - I cannot edit post here. So I cannot correct wrong information - which will stay in the post. That is why - I am posting in the xtrend-alliance board - who allow me to edit.

Sorry for the trouble.

Regards.

You can always ask a mod. Editing is disabled after 10 minutes, due to abuse of this facility (people erasing older posts, or changing then, which changes the discussion).

And here you can't download attachments as well, if you're not logged in.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

By "ask a mod" - do you mean I have to ask a mod to change something every time ? That is not realistic as these plugins have to be updated often.

Anyway I do not understand what is the big problem in registering in that board if someone is interested in the plugin - I assume it is quite quick to register.

An update is not a change, an update is something new, which therefore warants a new post, and to keep the old post as it is.

A change is needed is there is a severe mistake in it that needs correcting. A simple mistake can be corrected in a new post.

Imagine someone could have replied to your original post that something specific in the plugin (originally posted) doesn't work. A week and 8 posts later you replace the plugin in the original post with an updated version that no longer has that problem. Now that reply of someone is no longer correct, and people new to this thread looking for the plugin will not download the attachment, because the reply says it's broken.

Understand? Exactly the reason why we don't allow unlimited edits.

We can go on discussing this for ever !

If I want to see if a plugin has a new update - I will look for it in Post 1. I am not going to search through 25 pages of a thread.

at least should be the author or starter of the thread has the permission of editing his thread

This is important because nobody knows or difficult to know where is the new update of the plugin posted, actually the update for plugin should be in first page
