hi, in stb's with sh4 arch, i can make the sound louder  with

/usr/bin/amixer -c 1 set Analog playback '60%' unmute &

/usr/bin/amixer -c 1 set SPDIF playback '60%' unmute &

 /usr/bin/amixer -c 1 set HDMI playback '60%' unmute &

this encrase the base volume, not the e2 volume.....

but here with mips, it says, there is no card?

It's not a mips thing, some manufacturers implement alsa mixer devices in their driver, others don't.
enigma2 does not use the alsa mixer controls.
