i usuallly update everyday my receiver (dm 500 hd)  in the morning with my coffee and i enjoy it !!!

last weeks i noticed that i update one time (e/g/ 23 new  updates ) and then ,

after the reboot when checking again for updates i dont get the message " no new updates"

BUT always i get the message for  3 new updates.

And when i try to upgrade  once again for those 3 updates , the updates goes ok but still there is a message for new 3 updates  all the time, no matter how many times i execute the upgrade procedure...!!!!

is this normal ? (it wanst like that before)

maybe my box misses somtehing that should be upgraded manually ?

any help appreciated

No, it isn't normal. Yes, we know what it is.

It's nothing to worry about, there was an issue with package dependencies about two months ago that caused this, and can be solved by either a flash, or by typing on the commandline:

init 4
opkg update
opkg upgrade -force-overwrite
reboot

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Yes, dcc will work, or a telnet session or PuTTy.

Broken packages. For some reason some mips32el packages got into the feed, from the VU from the looks of it. I'll pass it on.
