Hi,

Sometimes (once or 2 times a month), when I launch MoviePlayer, I have a message like "Sorry, Enigma have a problem and is going to restart". It's a little annoying because generally, I was recording a movie and I lost a part of it.

I take the file log :

Actually not the first, but the last few lines of the crash log are of interest.

And it says "segmentation fault". This is a very generic, hard to track down problem.

I think a first step would be to remove all third party plugins, create a new backup and then flash.

This is not a crash that occured during lauching movie player... as it looks like something happens during scanning services...

This crashlog isn't also a recent one..

No it's not very recent because I thought to post it but I take time to do it  . As it's not the first time and it doesn't stop, I think it would be well to tell about it ;) .

If you want, I can send other log files.

And it occurs when I launch MoviePlayer : I start the box (and the TV), it's on a TV channel, I press the red key I defined with MultiQuickButton (perhaps it's a problem with this plugin?) and sometimes, it crashes.

Erik, what are the "all third party plugins"? I have to remove all the plugins? But if I flash a new version, I have to install again all my plugins. Isn't it? Thus, what interest to remove them?

Thank you :) .

MQB is an ugly plugin, don´t use it ( it overrides a lot in image). ;)

grtz Philip

ps; i also notice that you don´t use the pli-hd skin.

The log is old and not related to the described issue... So the log does not help... See the date it has been created.

I have several logs, perhaps I don't choose the good one even if I haven't a lot of type of crashes. I thought it was the good one. As I'm not able to understand what is written in the log, I don't know which log to send to you  .

Philip, I don't like very much Pli-HD skin because I don't read very well on black (I'm not very young now) and I am not very easy with the picture on the left and the text on the right. That's why I prefer Kerni-HD1R2 with white text on blue background and the picture on the right even if this skin is not perfect.

I don't know there are problems with MQB. Is there another plugin interesting to define keys?

Thank you :) .

What keys do you need to define?

When I see a channel, I press red key to launch MoviePlayer, blue key to see the extensions as EPG Import, System Tools. I use these 2 keys very often. I defined other keys but I don't really use them.

What is pvr key? To launch MoviePlayer I have to use "Filelist" or "Vkey" on the standard remote and it's not convenient. That's why I defined red key. And now, I use a Logitech Harmony remote which is very convenient ant I continued to use red key.

For the blue key, I'm a little surprised because if my memory is not too bad, every time I flash the box, I have to define it to extensions. Are you sure of your affirmation?

Thank you :) .

On the logictech you can even assign each button to what you like... so you even do not need MQB at all..!!!

Yes but I need to have a free key or If I assign red key to MoviePlayer, I don't know if it will execute "Delete" when I will press red key in the Movie Player. And if I take again the standard remote, it's convenient too have the same keys as much as possible ;) .

A Logitech RC can only use keys that are assigned in the keymap.
MQB assigns (long & short press) keys to the keymap, so they can actually be used.

Sorry, I don't understand what you want to say (I'm not good in English). If I use MQB, the colour buttons remain contextual. I don't think it will be contextual if I assign functions to Logitech colours keys ;) .

That's what you can use MQB for.

Well, whatever you think about it: as long as the button assign functionality is not embedded in the image, there's no other choice.

Yes, of course, but any button will only do what has been assigned to that button (in the keymap).
And the issue is to use other functions; for that you need MQB (or manual manipulating the keymap).
