I want to know, what is VLAN for, because I do not see a possibility to watch IPTV (rtp/udp) streams on ET10000.
Somebody knows?

It is for future IPTV support.
Or in case you are on a cable provider that provides IPTV with MAC authentication only on a VLAN, it's for current IPTV support.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I don't know if it's easy to set from within enigma (otherwise you'd have to do some scripting), but I'd advise to use this connection for your lan instead of the "lan" nic. The "vlan" nic is 1 Gbps, while the "lan" nic is only 100 Mbps.
* Wavefrontier T90 with 28E/23E/19E/13E via SCR switches 2 x 2 x 6 user bands
I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

Same as on any other box. There is nothing VLAN about it, other than the name printed on the box. Both interfaces show in Enigma, and configuration is the same.
If you don't have a use for that port, and you have gigabit switching, then yes, this is sound advice.

I have already IPTV provider. A1TV Austria and I used it with dvbviewer 7-8 years ago (native support). 2 years ago I used it with CVS images (rtp/udp streams support with reference 1:0:1 and without dvbproxy) until 10 days ago, i bought et10000 and switched to OpenPLi.
With OpenPLi i can not use it as stream in this way. I tried refrence with 4097:0:1...rtp, and 1:0:1....rtp. Nothing work. With dvbproxy i don't want to use it, because it is not IPTV anymore and there is no teletext. It's fake then. So I thought there is a way to scan my IPTV network with et10000 and use it natively, but I can not find Intformation abput VLAN on et10000, and if it already works.

But can you use two NICs at the same time? One for IPTV (video) other for internet/network?

There should be support for rtp in gstreamer (which is used under water to process the streams), so I think it's a question of how to code the URL in the reference. You could try on the commandline with something like
gst-launch -v playbin2 uri=rtp://192.168.0.100:4000
to see if it plays at all. The big question is whether or not the codec used by your provider is supported by your box (it can't do decoding in software, like a PC can). VLC for example could tell you want the codec is.
As to the second port, ignore the name of it (as it's rubbish, it has nothing VLAN specific), it all depends on how your provider delivers the signal.
There are basically 3 options (assuming a standard ethernet delivery):
As to option 2: I have seen this only with triple play providers that deliver over xDSL (VDSL mostly), and currently there is no support in Engima to define a VLAN ID and configure the interface. If this is your case, we have to look into that.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

To be complete, some providers use a layer-2 connection (hence the VLAN tag), so they can see the MAC address of the attached box. And use something like 802.1x for MAC authentication to make sure it's a provider supplied box. If you are in this situation, you need to spoof the MAC address of the original box your provider supplied.
I have seen others that require a PPP tunnel, which is used for authentication purposes (where you need to enter a username/password in the provider box), which will make things a lot more complicated.

I do not have this problem with my provider. With Merlin3 image or original dmm with gp3 addon on dm7020 hd for example rtp and udp streams played very well, without udproxy.
With OpenPLi on dm7020hd it did not work and also not with et10000. I also installed gstreamer rtp and udp. but do not play the streams.
Example:
#SERVICE 1:0:19:283E:3FB:1:C00000:0:0:0:rtp%3a//@239.2.24.6%3a8208:arte HD

What is the @ doing in the URL? Should it not be

239.2.24.6 is a multicast address, don't you need multicast support for that?

yes is multicast, so far i know. where should be multicast support? in openpli?
i don't know what @ really do, but it should be in the adress. I also tried with @ and without on OpenPLi, but id want work. On CVS images it works only with @239...

in OpenPLi's gstreamer setup?
I know how it should work, and I know the network side of things very well, but the Enigma specifics are above my pay-grade I'm afraid, so I have to pass this on to a core dev...

See: http://gstreamer-dev...-td4411540.html
we also had problems with our live-streams when working with gstreamer stack from git master (0.10.36 not tested yet).
They disappeared after reverting commit 09f0860a1037b73bf314dd6d80ebbfa096ff93bf on gst-plugins-bad (gstmpegtsdemux.c).

Try this ipk (without commit 09f0860a1037b73bf314dd6d80ebbfa096ff93bf) and report if problem is solved.

Thank you very much, i'll see, what I can do with my knowledge.
Only working Images are dmm based Images such Merlin Image, Gp3, newnigma, tsimage...
Now I can not install those images because I only have et10000 and I'm very happy with this receiver and happy I have chosen the right one.
One of reasons I bought this receiver also was the VLAN, so I thought to have the chance to have IPTV natively.
But I think it will be in future.
You really think its up to gstreamer? What version or modification could have dmm to have working the udp and rtp streams...
