I would be very grateful if someone could please confirm whether it is ok to do a software update via the openpli menu as i haven't updated for a few weeks now having read stories of problems with green screens and having to completely reflash the image. I'm wondering whether an update would solve a problem i have with the audio sync on all channels i watch. Every channel i tne into i have to alter the audio settings to anything between -190 to - 255 in order to match the mouths moving with the words spoken.

Many thanks..

Excellent

It usually is.

If you want to make sure, wait with updating until the evening (GMT), pay attention to any warnings that pop up (we enable a warning if an update would be "service interrupting, i.e. you can't watch TV anymore).

And check the forum here for reports of non-service interrupting issues that might be an issue for your specific use of the box.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.
