I have two Xtrend STB, and I've never had any problem using remotes, they never interfere each other........ except in one case.
If I have any STB in deep standby mode, it wakes up by pressing the power button on both remotes, not just pressingf own one.
I have tried using the DVB Options plugin to listen to own ET9000 and ET8000/10000 remotes in each STB, but it doesn't work in deep standby mode.
It does the same behaviour.
Is there any option to avoid waking up the deep sleeping receiver ?

I’m afraid you will not succeed in purchasing an original RC for the et9x00 series. Search for et9x00 rc replacement.By the way, can anyone please recommend a source for a new ET9000 remote, preferably original?

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.
Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. 
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.
Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

By the way, I've heard of someone using a Dreambox remote to control a different box. Is it possible? In my case it would be an ET9000. How can this be achieved?
Also, perhaps a Logitech Harmony 300i is an option?

Hi,
Open you ET9x00 RCU and put some graphite powder on the keyside (rubberized part), it will works again like if it was brand new.
But of course Logitech Harmony is a good alternative but more expensive than graphite powder.

I selected HD51 (the long line described above) but unfortunately the remote does not seem to work. I am using OpenPLi 4 on ET9000.
If I were sure it would work with a Dreambox or VU+ remote, I would buy one.
Anyone has experience with using a different remote for ET boxes?

OK, so I will probably go for a Dreambox remote. Hopefully it can be any remote used with the latest Dreambox models.
Pity I can't make an HD51 remote work.

I also wonder if a non-original remote could be equally good. It is about half the price or even less of that of the original one.

Should have sold mine, I brought them all to the recycling part, together with my old DMM boxes...
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
