OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm7020hd-20111111 looks that at 36E NTV+ HD channels at 11823 R and 12073 L are problems. Only some pixels are visible at the top of screen. AGC values are also very low between 13% and 18%. At 1W the HD channels are ok with 13% of AGC, but at 36E with AGC 18% and SNR 13.3 DB – no picture, only some pixels.

me too have probelms downloading all channels on 36E NTV+ (HTB+). not only the HD channels, many of the other channels could not be downloaded.

O also tried another image and changed the satellite.xml file. but it did not help

Do you use LNB for circular polarization and have you changed the low/high/threshold to 10750? If you have all these done, then probably you have too low signal level, cause your dish is too small or you are too far from coverage area.

oh yeah, I have done all what you suggest. I have had 36E and HTB+ for many years using the dm7000s. dish is 120cm, new circular LNB DBV-S2, the settings are correct (10750), but still it did not work properly on the new DM7020HD

there are three variables on this LNb config for cirkular LNB
LOF/L 09750
LOF/H 10600
border 11700
in your opnion, which one should be set to 10750?

I found out. I set the LOF/H to 10750 and then the hd channels and more was downloaded )

All three loctions should have 10750. How you was looking earlier HTB+, if you did not knew it?

I had dm7000, and anther circular LNB. it was not these parameters to configure on dm7000. the only thing to do was to take the actual channel frequence – 150 hz and insert it, and choose left or right. and it worked very good. some times when things like this is upgraded they do it more complicated.

When I had 700, then I changed all three values to 10750 and did not had to make lot of extra work with manual -150 Hz at each transponder. Not reading, not asking will bring to lot of extra work and as you said, you did it. I hope you will not do it any more

36E 11804L, DVB-S2, 8PSK, SR 27500, FEC 3/4. Transponder could not be locked. Old DM800 had no problem. Required to be made fix on software level. Please report your status.

11804 is on an african transponder, called MultiChoice Africa. I cannot download this at all. these transponders are positioned towards africa. I live in north norway, far away form receiving these channels. but the russian transponders is strong here where I live

Could you please check such plug-in like sat finder (fill in transponder data) and you can see is the signal stable or jumping up and down.

when checking that frequence on sat finder I receive an unstable signal SNR typically 33%, but sometimes it is 0%. the signal is fluctuating all the time.
AGC is 36-37% and stable.
BER is 0, stable. and no hook on the “lock”

Same with me, u have to switch it off for 2 times and the 3rd time the image starts. It’s reproducable. But it appears only when flashing new. Once started, there’s no prob at all.

My image would not initialize the HDD – I think there is a command problem between the image setting & linux.

Here is how I manually setup my drive
First download a telnet program – i use putty
connect you dreambox
& then you will need to Partition, Format & Mount
the Hard Drive

partition
type:-
fdisk /dev/sda

if you press P it will show a list
of the drives

next press n for new partition
this is for 1 partition tutorial, so press 1
and the default starting number 1
and the default end number This end number depends on your hdd size.

press P
you should now see a line similar to
Disk /dev/sda: 50.0 GB, 50019202560 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 6081 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 6081 48845601 83 Linux
Notice the sda1 – that is sda = drive & 1 = the partition.
If you wanted to, you could split the drive & have different sda numbers.

now we need to write the partition to the drive.
so press w

now we need to format the drive.

FORMAT
The way that worked for me was mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1
another way in linux is mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sda1 — This is where I think the
error is in the image, as this way would not work for me.

Now we mount the drive

MOUNT
first we have to edit the fstab file in /etc directory.
so add the line
/dev/sda1 /media/hdd ext3 defaults 1 2
I used an ftp program & wordpad to edit.

then we type
mount /dev/sda1
or (which ever works for you)
mount /media/hdd
mkdir /media/hdd/movie

Thats all I done my drive now records & My drive will now even initalize
in the menus the way it should.

I have a 7020HD with PLI.
The old version of pli could play all 1080 HD downloaded movies but since i upgraded i cant see the movies anymore, they lag. and this is the same movies which i could see on the old pli.

Bootlogo.jpg is to big and can not be seen on DM7020HD.

After flashing and first rebooting starts the Box DM7020Hd not properly.
During first booting does not appear any bootlogo and to the end there is no any SAT signal .
The Box must be rebooted again and then is all right.
Except small problems the OPENPLI is the best image of all I have used on my Box.

I’ve got two 7020hd that dont play .mkv in blueray quality while both my 800se do play them. I think there’s a bug in the 7020 beta image somewhere.

It seems that DVI works with HDMI

Please add netradioclassic_2.4 to addons download.
The netradio version in this moment its to old cant play radios or radios dont exist.
Openpli its the best continuin the work great team.
