I have been trying to get my usb tuner to work again for weeks now, without any results until yesterday; I have installed the plugin "tunesiasat". And after that I installed from the Tunesiasat plugin the USB tuner driver.
And now it works again like a charme.
At last I can use Open Pli again, for me it's the most user friendly image.

This may work with Dreambox or VU+ STBs using the 2.6.18 kernel, but it will never work with ET decoders that are using newer kernels.

Here is a link to the plugin; put it in the var/volatile/tmp, and then manual install it.

I made the installation. Then I go in "Tunisiasat Addons Manager" to Drivers-extra. Because I have VU+DUO I chose: Usbtuner 0.6.3_all. I get this error (see a photo).

I have NOVA-t USB DVBt tuner. What to do?

First of all do not use TS-panel for smth like this, it contains old plugins.

Since 0.6.3 there a few updates:

v0.7.3 - Replaced ipkg to opkg in download_drivers function. Updated the GUI plugin. Now it is possible to download and install all drivers (not only a specific one for your tuner) and all firmwares. Thanks helour!
v0.7.2 - Fixed and improved /etc/init.d/usbtuner.sh service startup script. Now it will actually wait (5s timeout) for /dev/dvb/adapter1+ device before it reports that loading the module was successful. This hopefully wont confuse people that all went well when it didn't.
v0.7.1 - Fixed a bug in enable_device and disable_device functions.
- Enigma2.sh is no longer calling /etc/init.d/usbtuner.sh restart and is just doing "start" instead. This is to prevent freezes when currently zapped channel is from the usb connected tuner. Usbtuner would not be released during enigma2 restart and would freeze the restart. The only remedy was to reboot the box.
- Improved /etc/init.d/usbtuner.sh script to incorporate PID files per usbtuner program instance. This is to help fixing the above. I recommend uninstalling the previous package version and install this new one. Otherwise enigma2.sh would not get properly patched.
- Most important thing here is the DVBUsbTunerSetup plugin written by helour so BIG UPs for him. Check it out after installing the package, restarting enigma2 and going to the Plugins menu.

I did attach the latest verion on my post, more howto is overhere: http://www.i-have-a-...threadid=151951

0.7.3 geeft ook een foutmelding over module-init-tools (net als 0.6.3) op m'n Vu+ DUO.
Module-init-tools is wel op de laatste versie volgens opkg.

0.7.3 complains about missing module-init-tools (just like 0.6.3) on my Vu+ DUO.
Module-init-tools is present and up to date according to opkg.
Sorry about the dutch posting.

The plugin works fine with my 800se. It finds my tuner as Nova Siano something and it downloads the driver. I restart enigma but the tuner doesn't appear in the tuner setup. Is this a PLi problem, because in other images the tuner is installed properly. Can somebody help?

Are we talking about a NOVA-t USB DVBt tuner?

After installing the following packages this tuner runs on my 800se:

opkg install firmware-dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib7000m v4l-dvb-module-dib0070 v4l-dvb-module-dib8000
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib3000mc v4l-dvb-module-dibx000-common v4l-dvb-module-dib7000p
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dib0700
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb v4l-dvb-module-dvb-core
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-common v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-mb
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-dibusb-mc v4l-dvb-module-dvb-usb-nova-t-usb2 v4l-dvb-module-mt2266
opkg install usbtunerhelper
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-tuner-xc2028 v4l-dvb-module-mxl5007t v4l-dvb-module-s5h1411
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-xc5000 v4l-dvb-module-mt2060 v4l-dvb-module-lgdt3305 v4l-dvb-module-v4l2-common
opkg install v4l-dvb-module-dib0090
Maybe there is a conflict with usbtuner_0.7.3_all.ipk , so remove it before installing usbtunerhelper!

When installed
1. reboot the box
2. check if usbtunerhelper is running
3. check if tuner is listed in "cat /proc/bus/nim_sockets"
4. check if tuner is visible in the tuner setup
5. change the tuner using dvb-t in the right region
6. scan channels

What I was meant it was about the usbtuner plugin. This usbtunerhelper is something new? Where can I find it?
My USB tuner is a Crypto Redi PC 100 with an smsusb siano chip.
