I see a new Secondstage Loader 85 is out for 7020hd only, but i guess soon for all boxes and a new Linux-Kernel 3.2 which PLi cannot takeover (hence usb dvb-t support)..??

update dm7020hd secondstage loader
- fixed ineffective front usb port
- fixed wrong frontpanel key handling
- prepare for new kernel versions

Again new drivers:

- fixed strange aliasing noise on PCM Playback with needed upsampling
- finally fixed hybrid DVB-C/-T Tuner 5V output for active antennas
- don't fallback to DVI when the HDMI EDID was not readable
(this fixes some HDMI audio/video problems)

Sure - overhere http://www.dreambox-...veroeffentlicht they speculate that the new ssl-85 loader will bring (soon) support for a newer linux 3.2 kernel in their images.

As far as i did understand PLi cannot take over these new kernels to implent in the current builds due the license stuff.

These new kernel could bring more/better support for usb dvb-t brands like the topics where people mention that they dont work with drivers on dreamboxes but on e.g. VU they work instead course PLi for those boxes includes the newer kernel allready..??

As far as I know only the enigma code is closed down. Linux kernel images can't be closed down by dream they are GPL.

But I'm not an expert on this :)

indeed, linux kernel is GPL, so no reason why we cannot switch to a more recent kernel, as soon as the corresponding drivers are available.

By ihad told someone that the kernel will be 2.6.3* So probably it's the broadcom kernel release :(
The confusion about 3.2 and 3.2.2 is coming because this is release number dmm enigma version.

For 800SE are changed bcm7405 and cdx1981, cdx1981 is for DVB-T/C tunner only.
Manualy replaced and it seems, all works standard.

Dreambox Dm8000 with all hardware addons donated to OpenPli. No interests anymore in policy of CanalDigitaal / M7 group and now-a-days channel encryption (like CI+ / HD+).

Good luck Enigma2 / OpenPli, it was fun with Sky Movies and so on, collected a nice collection of movies. Now back to basic boring lineair TV with KPN iTV (VDSL2 pair bonding 219 / 63 Mbps).

The VDSL pair bonding is excellent for... torrents to NAS in higher quality then HDTV (Like Dolby-TrueHD or DTS-Master-Audio soundquality ) :D

Firmwareupdate of today works good here (BCM4505 & CXD1981)

Online update feed still contains drivers 20120202 they are 2 versions behind with fixes if you rely on the feed and not manually install them...

My dreambox 500 hd does not boot with 09/02/2012 and 13/02/2012 drivers.Only 02/02/2012 drivers works.

My dreambox 500 hd does not boot with 09/02/2012 and 13/02/2012 drivers.Only 02/02/2012 drivers works.

I don't think you can download the drivers from dreamboxupdate and apply them to a PLI image.
PLI used to add a few extra files, which are required at startup.
When you install new drivers from dreamboxupdate, these extra files will be removed.
The box will startup, but the drivers won't load properly and the result is no image.

You could get the .ko files(either from their site, ur by just unpacking them from the ipk with 7-zip) and overwrite the existing ones. That should work. Installing the ipk from DMM will certainly fail, OpenPLi uses mdev to manage devices.

this fixes possible wrong scaled content
- fixed scale factor calculation for dm800
i.e. fixes wrong scaled IPTV services
- fixed non transparent framebuffer after bootup
this fixes not visible bootlogo before e2 starts on dm800
