Strange. I'm not at home so I cannot double check. But I'm sure that it works on my box. Can you look into the e2 log what action is executed when you press rewind?

hmm, let's start with the basics ;)

Any way to rewind live tv as in pts (not once pause is pressed)
Cheers

You can enable it in the settings (settings -> system -> user interface menu).

I suspect 'automatic timeshift start' is simply not enabled by @hwads in this case...

and you're running an up to date image?
if not, perform an online update and this option should appear...
(unfortunately I have no chance to play with this new feature myself yet, due to lack of vuduo builds for 3 days now...)

It's not so simple. Don't do this if a recording is running!! Login via telnet on your box. Execute "init 4". Then execute "/usr/bin/enigma2". Then you see the logs in telnet window. To abort it press ctrl+c. Then type "init 3" plus enter to start enigma again.

@hwads: And does rewind also work? I have tested it here again. I have switch to a channel, waited some seconds so that timeshift has started in background and have pressed <<. Result: Rewinding starts.

Ok did a clean install and all was working well and still is,
I installed MQB through plugins and it installed ok I assigned a button but when I press it nothing happens I have rebooted etc.
Is there a conflict between these two plugins? Or is it me missing something.

I'm using OpenPLi on SH4 architecture, not MIPSEL for which the plugin is directed to. The plugin itself is available as a source, so it will be compiled in my box when enigma starts. But what about the binary files: createapscfiles and eitsave.so? Where can I find binaries for SH4?

Ask your image creator to include the plugin in their feed. That will automatically build the binaries specific to your platform.

Here's a new patch which generates .cuts files when timeshift files are stored.

Hi guys,

I hope you're all well.

I'm having the same problem as many of you guys on here.

I am using the following official 4D image for my Technomate TM-2T:

http://download.for-...d=tm2toe&num=17

Thankfully, it seems the multi recording fix has properly been implemented but permanent time shift just does not work without the green screen happening after changing a channel after turning PTS on!

I have tried installing the updated versions of PTS kindly posted in this thread but it doesn't seem to have worked. When i do 'install local extension' and install the .ipk file it says, "Done- installed, upgraded or removed 0 packages (with 0 errors).

I tried looking for the PTS plugin (so I could uninstall it and then maybe try installing these updated versions) but haven't been able to find it in the 'extensions'.

I'm rather confused (and disappointed) as I enjoy this image very much apart from this small problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I also can't see any logs in Home/Root when FTP'g into my box.

Thanks.

Hi, I've managed to uninstall the PTS that was installed with the image (plugins) and installed version 1.3h that has been posted on here.

I got the screen again but now the box wont boot it keeps rebooting with green screen. Help!

I can't find where exactly the logs are located in the box directory.

Sorry, now allowed to edit post.

I managed to get the box running again by going into usr/lib/enigma2/extensions and deleting permanent timeshift.

I still don't know where the logs are, so help in this regard would be appreciated.

The logs should be on the root of the harddisk
