I suggest on a VU?....

If se then there is also a dutch thread regards the same issue: http://openpli.org/f...j-afspelen-mkv/

It seems to be a bug in the drivers from VU....

the sound come after 10-30 sec with any forward and rewind and pause i make

Are you using DTS downmix?

Hi junad,

my problem is that I don't know what problem you exactly have and in which situation:

for all mkv file with DTS or DTSHD sound come after 1 second which is ok :)

for mkv file like i post shortly before the movie stop after 10-20 min and sound come after 10 second :(

Here you say in the first line sound comes after 1 second for mkv's with DTS-HD sound. And in the second line you say the opposite: Sound comes after 10 seconds (it was a DTS-HD mkv which you had posted).

So when does the sound comes late. Always? After pausing? After seeking? ...

With my short test files I cannot reproduce it.

To the movie stopping: Does it happen only for DTS mkvs? Or also for other mkvs with e.g. AC3 sound?

If I have time, I try to reproduce the problem. I have here a long mkv with dts sound. I hope the box can play that file.

And another question: Are the mkvs stored on the internal harddisk or on a NAS?

I have watched a 1:40 hour long mkv with dts sound (dts downmix enabled) on my et9200. I have no problems. After seeking or winding it takes 1-2 seconds until sound is hearable.

i am very sorry for late with reply i think I know the fault now but not resolved yet
at first i apologize for my english and I will try hard to explain my problem

all mkv files is stored on external hard disk with external srt, and when i choose srt file
which i put it Initially then comes all the troubles but when i choose the original srt file the
troubles don't come (but also downmix don't work and i must use the remote control to adjust volume)!! so i try to change the skin and put more ttf fonts but without usefulness
the troubles with some mkv files (dts hd) is
1: the sound comes late always after pausing and after seeking
2: movie stop after 10 min
3: box hang
4: when i use dts or dts hd the downmix don't work even AC3/DTS downmix on or of
note: with AC3 don't have any problem

so for sure the srt sub is reason to make sound late and movie stop and again not all mkv (DTS HD) files just some of them

The problem is that I cannot reproduce the problem.

The subtitles, audio and video are synchronised by gstreamer. If the srt file contains wrong timestamps then you perhaps get these problems.

Can you try this with a video which stops after 10 minutes:

Login via telnet. Stop enigma2 with

init 4

(Warning your recordings are stopped with this command!).

Then execute:

gst-launch playbin2 uri=file:///path/to/movie.mkv suburi=file:///path/to/movie.srt > /tmp/gst.log 2>&1

Change path and movie name. Then you should see the video, subtitles and hear sound. Let it run until it stops (you cannot seek, pause, change volume,...!). Hopefully it also stops after 10 minutes. Post here the created file /tmp/gst.log

(if it don't stop you can stop it with Ctrl + C)

Afterwards you can start enigma2 again with

init 3

I suggest with this command youdo not see subs.. As they should be rendered by enigma2 which is not running then...

Yes, you might be right. But it's worth trying.

Without error message or something else I don't know how to help...

i try with three different srt sub (two different language and different encoding UTF-8 and ANSI) and all this make fault
