Then it will break again, next year or so...Or recompile against a current version.
Linking dynamically will only work with source code. The authors are probably ashamed of their code.

still no "read read, search search" apparently...
OpenPLi doesn't use any cam, you as a user do. mgcamd is only available in binary form, it's very old, and requires old and insecure versions of libraries, versions that are no longer present in the OpenPLi image. It is also mainly used to watch illegally (= without paying for a smartcard), which is an activity we do not support...
Or do you also expect a brand-new PC you buy today to still support that MSDOS application you used in 1995?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Yes... and now I suggest you to move on to an ancient image and stop using openpli.
Or switch to a softcam that does run on modern images. (cccam, oscam, scam)

How about OpenPLi 3? Not that ancient (daily's are still being build), and with exactly the same Enigma as OpenPLi 4.

If is only to watch illegally, then why you had mgcam on feeds?
And why cccam, oscam are still there?
Thank you

If you only want to view free-to-air channels, you don't need any of the *cam tools.
But if you need received card to open encoded channels (sky, CD etc) you do need a *cam. In older images any of them seemed to work fine and all of the were added to the third-party feed. But now apparently mgcamd does not match with libraries installed on openpli-4 anymore, but other *cam can still be used to view the encoded channels for your specific card. So why do you still need mgcamd there must be a special reason. Then 'watching illegally' comes to mind...
But the 'read read, search search' is not just joking. There are plenty of thread on the forum discussing the same issue with useful workarounds for some.

Yes, exactly. So use those, because they work, and mgcamd doesn't anymore.
